    Bedding, pillows, and towels are provided.

    Yes, there is free, unlimited Wi-Fi at Casa Symbiotica capable of streaming on several devices.
  • How do I access the rental?
    A Tropical Homes representative will meet you at the main gates of Mar Vista and guide you to the house. The flight information should be passed to Tropical Homes prior to departure so that they can track your arrival progress.
  • Is there free parking?
    Yes, there is free parking at Casa Symbiotica?
  • Is there a BBQ/grill at the house?
    Yes, there is a gas barbecue at Casa Symbiotica and propane is provided.
  • What kind of coffee machine do you have?
    A drip coffee maker is available in the kitchen of Villa Dos Playas. We provide a small welcome basket containing a bag of Costa Rican Coffee, amongst some other light snacks.
  • What is the kitchen equipped with?
    The kitchen comes fully stocked with all the equipment and tools you need to cook meals during your stay. We also provide salt & pepper, various spices, cooking oil and a basic supply of foil, paper towels, toilet tissue, hand soap, dish/dishwasher soap, laundry soap and fabric softener.
  • Is there air conditioning?
    Yes, there are air conditioning units in each room aside from closets as well as ceiling fans in the bedrooms.
  • Who do we call if there is a problem?
    In case of personal injury, emergency or fire, call 911 on your cell phone. Address of the rental is lot 19 Mar Vista, Playa Flamingo Guanacaste.   • Do I need to clean the rental before I leave?
    No. But be sure that you have all your belongings with you, and all doors and windows remain closed. Check out is 10:00 am.
  • How far is the beach from Casa Symbiotica?
    By car: Playa Flamingo - 8 minutes Playa Conchal - 9 minutes Playa Penca - 20 minutes Tamarindo - 35 minutes
  • Can I use a golf cart to access Casa Symbiotica?
    It is not recommended since there are steep hills, we recommend renting a car (2WD or 4WD) to have more flexibility to move.
  • Do I need a car to get around?
    It is advisable to rent a car for your stay at Casa Symbiotica. This will give you the freedom to venture out and explore the unique towns along the coast as well as the many attractions and activities in the region. Most roads are paved or at least graded so there is no need for four wheel drive. If you do not want to rent a car, taxis, and private shuttles are available and can be booked through Tropical Homes Concierge Services.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    Cancellation from the booking date to 61 days before check-in: We will charge a $10 processing fee to refund the remaining prepayment amount. Cancellation from 60 days to 31 days before check-in: We will charge 100% of the total prepayment amount. Cancellation from 30 days before check-in to the check-in date: We will charge 100% of the total prepayment amount.
  • Which currency is most commonly used in Costa Rica?
    The Colon (pronounced kawh’lawn, Colones in plural) is the Costa Rican currency though US Dollars are widely used and accepted. Euros and Canadian dollars can be exchanged at the airport and in some banks. Most businesses will accept credit card.
  • Are credit cards accepted in Costa Rica?
    Yes, credit cards are widely accepted in Costa Rica, particularly Visa and Mastercard.
  • What voltage and type of electric plugs are used?
    Electrical outlets in Costa Rica are 110v just like in North America. However, although most wall outlets are being switched to 3 prongs, if your device uses a 3 prong plug, we recommend bringing an adapter which converts from 3 to 2 prongs.
  • Are there medical facilities nearby?

  • Where are the nearest grocery stores?
    There is a small grocery store on the way to Flamingo, close to Mar Vista, less than 1 kilometer down the road. The largest grocery store is a short drive away in Tamarindo.
  • What airport should I fly into?
    Liberia International Airport, a modern full-service airport and a 1 hour drive to Casa Symbiotica. San José International Airport is a 5 hour drive to Casa Symbiótica.
  • Is the water safe to drink at Casa Symbtiotica?
    Generally, the water in the Guanacaste coast is considered safe to drink. However, we generally advise visitors to drink bottled water while traveling, which is standard practice in all Central American countries.
  • What amenities are available for young children / babies?
    Casa Symbtiotica is furnished with a baby chair.
